About

I love hoverboards. I loved them back in 2015 when they were suddenly everywhere, and I loved them through 2016 while they were busy catching fire and burning people's houses down, and I kept loving them long after everyone else had decided they were idiotic deathtraps and moved on to scooters.

So when the rest of the world gave up, I doubled down. I bought twenty of them for 3000kr from the parents of a guy in Østfold who'd had enough of his scooter-repair business, and I've been taking them apart ever since, poking at their motor controllers, trying to get field-oriented control working, and bolting the guts to things that have no business moving. They're a cheap source of motor controllers and motors, and I like repurposing other people's trash.

Sometimes this serves no purpose, just for the joy of it. My friend Robo Durden would call me a brain degenerated consumer. He hates stupid fun projects. That's rather the point.
